Ziggity Zag Music Believes....

My experience comes from more than 37  years as a music educator.  Since July 2022, I have been teaching young children in Music Together, Montessori and pre-school settings. I have now formed my own company Ziggity Zag Music LLC offering affordable Music Classes and Songs  at your school/center or special setting and writing music for children.

I believe in a multi-faceted approach, recognizing each child as a unique individual. My teaching fosters play, supports the social, emotional, cognitive, language and physical development of each child.  Engaging children in many types of music learning using quality, developmentally appropriate activities, instruments, and props. I have training in Orff-Schulwerk, Kodaly, Dalcroze Eurhythmics, Music Together, Suzuki Method, Music Learning Theory (Gordon) and others.  They all have something to offer. I believe that a combination of integrated activities that are age appropriate, promote social emotional learning, are child and play centered, engaging and fun are all important considerations when planning lessons!

While performing is not the objective of these classes, sharing what we learn at a special event is possible and will boost community spirit and confidence in the children. My goal is for all children to have a positive experience with music learning, creating a lifelong love of music.

This year I will be teaching at:

The Stratham Circle Learning Center

The Harris Family Children’s Center

Seabrook Elementary School, First Graders

The Exeter Day School

Little Otters K-2 Program

Riverwoods, Exeter
